Endodontic Treatment

Endodontics is the branch of dentistry that deals with the inside of the tooth. During endodontic treatment, the nerve and blood vessels are removed from the pulp chamber and the root canals, and then cleaned and disinfected. The dentist seals the root canals well with a special occlusive material, gutta-percha.

Endodontically treated teeth must be restored as soon as possible because they have an increased tendency to break.

The restoration of these teeth usually involves the use of endodontic resin shafts and full coverage crowns.

With denervation and proper restoration, the tooth can continue to function for many years without a problem. The progress that has been made in the field of Endodontics now allows the treatment to be completed painlessly within a few sessions, even just one!
